Izzy Power is an Irish rock ‘n’ roll singer based in Rotterdam. Having been involved in music all his adult life, Izzy spent years being the front-man to a near-endless stream of rock and punk bands. After a brief foray into the hip-hop scene as an MC / punk-poet, he could not ignore his true calling – being the lead singer in a band.
Izzy has released numerous EPs, albums and singles, both as a solo performer and with several bands. He has performed at festivals both in the Netherlands and in Ireland, including the Rory Gallagher Festival, Flakkeesedagen and Ballyshannon Folk Festival.
He has received plenty of radio attention over the years with not only his singles attaining airplay but also a variety of live performances on stations such as LabFM, Exxact Barendrecht, Stanvaste Radio and Radio Superstar.
His musical style has often been compared to his biggest influences – AC/DC, Motörhead, Bodycount, NWA, Rage Against the Machine, Little Richard and The Ramones. Izzy can be found performing around the Netherlands with Portland Rider, who have been receiving growing attention on both the Dutch and international airwaves.
